Online Learning

What does online schooling look like?
Online schooling is a way for children to learn from home (or another safe space) using a laptop or tablet, with lessons delivered over the internet by qualified teachers or tutors.

It can be very flexible and is designed to make learning feel safe, manageable, and engaging. A typical online schooling package might include:

-
Live lessons – your child joins a teacher or tutor on video, either one-to-one or in a small group.
-
Recorded sessions – lessons that can be watched later if your child needs extra time, or if live lessons feel overwhelming.
-
Interactive activities – quizzes, games, or projects to make learning fun and practical.
-
Regular check-ins – teachers stay in touch with your child (and you) to see how things are going, answer questions, and celebrate progress.
-
Therapeutic or wellbeing support – some online schools include space for counselling, mentoring, or skill-building alongside academic work.

The learning is paced to suit your child—sometimes with shorter lessons, frequent breaks, or personalised timetables. The aim is to reduce pressure, rebuild confidence, and help your child stay connected to education in a way that works for them.

At its heart, online schooling is about combining flexibility, structure, and support so that your child can learn and thrive, even if the classroom isn’t the right place for them right now.
