The Full Story

About us

We are a couple of mums with a shared passion for supporting children who find mainstream school challenging. One of us is a mother to a neurodiverse son who struggled to attend school due to severe anxiety, and the other is an experienced teacher who began teaching her friend's son from home. Through our experiences, we realised we wanted to help more children access education in a way that suits them. That’s why we created B.Education — to provide personalised, flexible learning and alternative provision for children who need extra support, understanding, and encouragement to thrive.

Rachel

Hi,

I'm Rachel, an experienced teacher with a passion to make a change to children experiencing diverse needs.

During my years as a teacher, I have worked with children with a wide range of abilities and needs. However, during this time I realised how limited I was by the structures and schemes in place within the education system, which often made it difficult to truly support children with additional needs. I wanted to reach children where they were, helping them explore the world in a way that was engaging, accessible and meaningful. I also wanted to tailor learning to each child’s interests and individual strengths, so they felt understood, seen, and inspired.

This is where the birth of B.Education was created - with an aim to provide personalised learning that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and empowers children to thrive.

Rochel

Hey! My name is Rochel, a founder of B.Education.

I’m a mum who fought for my neurodiverse son, a child who didn’t fit into the traditional education system. Watching him struggle every day tore my heart in two. Reading other families’ stories made me realise that so many children like him are left behind in a world that isn’t built to understand them.

Taking him out of the system and creating B.Education was a turning point — it gave him hope and a fresh outlook on what life and learning could be. Seeing him light up, engage with his lessons, and build trust and confidence as his learning was tailored to his needs has been nothing short of magical.

I want every child to experience that same sense of being truly seen, understood, and inspired. I want them to feel the joy of learning, the thrill of discovery, and the confidence that comes from knowing they can thrive — just as my son has.
