Terms and Conditions

Last updated: [30th September 2025]

Welcome to B. Education. By using our website and services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. About Us

B. Education provides tailored tuition and alternative learning services for children who may not be able to attend mainstream school.

2. Use of Our Website

  • The content on this website is for general information only and may change without notice.

  • We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it will always be error-free.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute website content without permission.

3. Our Services

  • All tuition and learning services are subject to availability.

  • Services may be provided online, in our learning centre, at home, or in other suitable locations.

  • We reserve the right to make changes to timetables, tutors, or learning programmes where necessary.

4. Fees and Payments

  • Fees for services will be confirmed in writing before lessons begin.

  • Payments must be made by the agreed due dates.

  • Late or missed payments may result in lessons being paused until payment is received.

  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may still be charged.

  • If B. Education needs to cancel a session, we will reschedule at no extra cost.

6. Safeguarding and Conduct

  • We are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All staff and tutors follow strict safeguarding policies.

  • Parents/guardians remain responsible for their child’s welfare during sessions delivered at home or online.

  • We reserve the right to withdraw services if a child, parent, or guardian engages in behaviour that is unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate.

6.1. Home Visits & Tuition in the Family Home

  • Safe environment: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring the home is a safe, suitable environment for learning (quiet space, free from hazards, appropriate supervision).

  • Supervision: A responsible adult (parent/guardian) must be present in the home during lessons. Tutors cannot be left alone in the house with a child without a parent/guardian present, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Boundaries: Tutors are not permitted to carry out childcare, personal care, or household tasks. Their role is strictly to provide educational support.

  • Conduct: We expect mutual respect at all times. Any behaviour that makes a tutor feel unsafe or uncomfortable may result in the immediate withdrawal of services.

  • Cancellations: If a tutor arrives at the home and the environment is not suitable or no adult is present, the session may be cancelled and charged in full.

  • Travel and safety: Tutors must be able to safely access and leave the property. If they feel unsafe, they are entitled to leave, and the session may still be charged.

7. Liability

  • We take care to provide safe and high-quality services, but we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury beyond what is required by law.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are supervised where appropriate and have a safe environment for online or home-based learning.

8. Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you agree that we may collect and use information as described there.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
